As part of the regular reviews of the border measures, the Singapore Multi Ministry Taskforce and the Ministry of Health have updated the country risk classification and the border measures.
For travellers entering in Singapore from 7 October 2021 the new measures will be as follows:
- The prevailing border measures for incoming travellers will be determined based on the travellers’ recent travel history in the last 14 days instead of the existing 21 days.
- The SHN period for those travelling entering from Countries in Category III and IV, which is currently 14 days, will be reduced to 10 days, which accounts for the shorter incubation period of the Delta variant.
- Appropriate adjustments have been also made to the categories of some countries/ regions. Details of the updated country/region classification and their corresponding border measure can be downloaded from the following link.
In addition, to allow the necessary workers and students to enter Singapore’s borders in a safe and calibrated manner while minimising public health risk, all Work Pass and Student’s Pass holders will be required to be fully vaccinated before arrival in Singapore. This will apply to those who are applying to enter Singapore via the Work Pass Holder General Lane and Student’s Pass Holder Lane from 1 November 2021.
Please contact our professionals in Singapore for more information on the entry requirement.
