In the continuous effort to transit to a new normal, the Singapore Multi Ministry Taskforce and the Ministry of Health have updated the Travel Protocols and allow the entry of fully vaccinated persons from certain countries into Singapore for general travel.
Extended Vaccinated Travel Lanes
Earlier in September 2021, Singapore launched the Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTLs) with Brunei and Germany to allow entry for fully vaccinated persons from these countries into Singapore for general travel.
Under certain criteria, travellers under the VTLs, would no longer serve the Stay Home Notice provided a regular testing regime. Among the requirements for VTLs to apply, please note (i) persons must be vaccinated; (ii) travel to Singapore through dedicated VTL air flights; and (ii) seek prior entry approval from Singapore authorities.
The Singapore government has announced the extension of the Vaccinated Travel Lane to eight more countries, namely Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States for entry into Singapore from 19 October 2021. Applications for short-term visitors and Long-Term Pass Holders will commence on 12 October 2021 for travel into Singapore from 19 October 2021.
The VTLs with the Republic of Korea (ROK) will start from 15 November 2021, with application for the VTP for Short Term Visitors and Long-Term Pass Holders commencing on 8 November 2021.
